NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS February 2022
Notice is hereby given to members of proposed amendments to the Country Fire Service Volunteers Association (CFSVA) Constitution.
This is in line with Section 21 of the Association’s Constitution:
- ALTERATIONS TO CONSTITUTION: This constitution may only be amended or added to by a two thirds majority vote at any General Meeting of the Association provided that two months’ notice of any proposed alteration is given to the Executive Officer and is circularised to all members entitled to vote prior to the meeting at which it is to be discussed.
The intent of the amendments is to modernise the Constitution and allow the Association to effectively progress its representation of members.
Members’ attention is in particular drawn to Section 8 Governance and Section 13 Voting which has been re-structured to allow more active member participation within the Association.
The amendments will be tabled at the General Meeting of the 12 April 2022 for discussion and voting.
The proposed amended Constitution is attached for reference.
