Regional Capability Community Fund – Grants Now Available
The Government has provided $2m over four years through the RCCF to enhance the capability of rural, regional and remote communities to respond to emergency incidents through the Regional capability Community Fund (RCCF). The RCCF is being made available through a competitive grants program allocating between $500 and $5,000 to successful applicants.
Approximately 80% of the funds will be allocated to fire preparedness and response and 20% allocated to flood, extreme weather and other emergency incidents depending on the number and type of applications received.
Applications will be open to individuals, community groups and local government and state agencies and we anticipate a high number of landowners will apply for an upgrade to their farm fire units. With regard to the variables and challenges of each region, the aim of the RCCF is to support the unique safety, communications and resourcing needs of South Australian communities.
